Scheduled maintenance

3 Year / 300 Hour Service

Our 300-hour service is a more comprehensive preventative maintenance interval that builds on annual service. In addition to routine oil and gearcase service, this visit typically includes water pump impeller replacement, thermostat inspection, fuel filter replacement, spark plug inspection or replacement, and a full cooling system check. This service helps prevent overheating, fuel system issues, and performance loss, keeping your outboard reliable and ready for the season.

Why it matters

A Milestone Service, Not Just an Oil Change

The 300 hour mark is set by engine manufacturers as a real checkpoint, not routine maintenance to put off. Small issues that are easy to catch at this interval, like a worn impeller or a clogged filter, can turn into expensive repairs if they are missed. Our 300-hour service is a more comprehensive preventative maintenance interval that builds on annual service, giving your engine a closer look before a small problem becomes a big one.

Why it pays off

What This Service Protects

Prevents overheating

A worn water pump impeller is one of the most common causes of engine overheating. Replacing it at the 300 hour mark keeps water flowing where it needs to go.

Protects the fuel system

A fresh fuel filter and a full fuel system check catch small issues before they turn into clogs, rough running, or a stall out on the water.

Keeps performance strong

Fresh spark plugs and a full cooling system check keep the engine running the way it did on day one, instead of slowly losing power over time.
